Giddens is a backup running back the Colts drafted and were excited about, but he has yet to earn the trust of the coaching staff. Per Jaylahn Tuimoloau, Giddens had the opportunity to emerge last year but Ameer Abdullah won Shane Steichen over and became the de facto 2nd RB. There is not enough publicly available snap data to determine if Giddens can pan out, though Jaylahn Tuimoloau liked the pick at the time. Whether Giddens emerges depends on whether the Colts want to manage Jonathan Taylor's snap count.
