For McCarthy in 11-on-11 team drills, he had one attempt in which he scrambled and may have been sacked but threw down the field to Tai Felton, who made the catch though the ball was low. However, a flag on the play negated it. Other than that, there really wasn't anything beyond short passes from McCarthy today

McCarthy limited to short passes in camp with few downfield attempts connecting.

McCarthy has struggled to connect on downfield throws in Vikings training camp, with most attempts being short passes that haven't all connected. In 11-on-11 team drills, he had one scramble attempt to Tai Felton that was negated by a flag and another attempt to Felton broken up by Charles Demmings. McCarthy mostly stood around during an install period while O'Connell coached receivers on route patterns, suggesting limited first-team reps in certain situations.
