David Montgomery used to be on your Bears. Now used to be on my Detroit Lions. Houston's officially a Houston Texan. Going to be the RB1 in that offense...The Texans did nothing in the draft to add competition, leaving him and just Woody Marks...I think that means that Monty is going to see probably 15 to 17 touches per game. And that kind of volume makes him a low-end RB2, maybe in a deeper league, a high-end RB3...I am all over his value with a very nice overall ADP of 69.9.
STACKED’s take
Positive signalProjection
Moving to Houston as RB1 after sharing backfield with Jameer Gibbs in Detroit; volume forces rebound—Texans added no competition in draft, leaving only Woody Marks (flashed as rookie but not ready for primary role); projected 15-17 touches per game makes him low-end RB2 or high-end RB3 in deeper leagues; excellent value at ADP 69.9; serviceable every-down back with proven resourcefulness; RB31 in fantasy points per game last year due to limited volume, but scarcity at RB position makes him attractive.
