Coleman filled in for Tunsil a few times down the stretch last year and held up relatively well; he showed strong run-blocking ability in 2024 and has the athleticism to excel in the Commanders' expected outside zone scheme, using momentum to bulldoze defenders in space. His pass protection was inconsistent as a rookie but flashed nice moves against elite pass rushers like Brian Burns and Trey Hendrickson with efficient hand flash technique. He started the last three games at left tackle and allowed just two pressures on 87 pass blocking snaps. Tunsil mentored him during offseason training in Alabama, teaching him habits and recovery modalities from one of the greatest tackles ever.
