Seventh-round rookie WR has unteachable speed that should stand out more in live preseason reps against real opponents at full speed; separation is critical in prolific passing offenses, and Smith's speed gives him a chance to separate from defenders with authority. A big play over the top against the Rams or Seahawks would help his case in a bottom-of-depth-chart competition where UDFA Camden Brown and Jonathan Mingo have stood out so far.
