When Lamb was healthy next to George Pickens, Ferguson dropped to 5.7 targets, 4.3 targets, and 33 yards (TE20 on TE5 usage). That's the reality of being the distant third target behind multiple alpha WR1s. Ferguson won't get peppered with targets if everyone is healthy, and his targets are also in the less-valuable checkdown variety. His averaged depth of target across the season was at just 4.4 yards downfield. That was 50th out of 58 TE qualifiers. Ferguson offers fringe TE1 projections as a baseline in 2026, and his only real path to a top-5 ceiling is when his teammates miss time. He closed out 2025 with 4-straight games under 6.5 expected half PPR points.
