Yankoff, a 2024 UDFA tight end, has emerged as a surprise standout and could force the Commanders' hand to keep him on the roster; his athleticism and development as a pass-catching tight end could earn him a much larger role. Former Commanders tight end Zach Ertz called him "one of, if not the fastest guy on the team, which is crazy for being as big as he is." Head coach Dan Quinn noted the team has split him out to evaluate his ability to use space in the passing game.
