Sanders gets Week 2 start vs. Buffalo; QB competition plan unchanged despite Watson's preseason performance.

Shedeur Sanders will start Week 2 of the preseason against the Buffalo Bills as part of the ongoing quarterback competition with Deshaun Watson. Sanders and Watson will split first-team reps at joint practices ahead of that contest. Browns coach Todd Monken indicated the plan was always to 'get through the Bills game, switch up who is gonna start, who is gonna play in the second half and then we'll go from there,' signaling that the quarterback competition remains fluid and undecided.
