Yahoo Fantasy Football on Geno Smith

However, let's not forget what he's done in the past, including a breakout campaign with the Seahawks in 2022, when he finished with the sixth-most points at his position and was a top-eight QB in fantasy points per game (18.7)... Now, coming off that dismal campaign with the Raiders, he gets a fresh start in New York.
STACKED’s take
Smith's 2022 breakout (18.7 fppg, sixth in passing points) and 2024 bounce-back support sleeper case; Jets' solid offens
Smith is a true sleeper after a dismal 2024 with the Raiders, but his track record supports a bounce-back case. In 2022 with Seattle, he finished sixth in passing points, was top-eight in fppg (18.7), eighth in passing yards, fourth in passing touchdowns, and first in completion percentage. Though 2023 was a struggle (QB24, 15.4 fppg) due to offensive line injuries, his 2024 numbers bounced back to top-five in passing yards and completion percentage (QB17 on a per-game basis, 15.9 fppg) with eight top-12 weekly performances, including six in the first half. Now with the Jets, he gets a fresh start in an offense with solid depth at every position and an offensive line with several highly drafted blockers. Recapturing at least some of his past fantasy success is well within his range of outcomes.
