The Cardinals signed Duvernay to be their return man. Not that he won't be getting any snaps on the offense, but it won't be many this season. He hasn't proven in training camp that he is the right guy for either the kickoff or punt return position, but he does have a very good history of being good at both.

Duvernay signed a one-year, $1.85 million deal (up to $2.5 million with incentives) primarily to be the Cardinals' return man, with limited offensive snaps expected this season. He has a strong history as a return specialist with excellent athleticism: 4.39 40-time, 35.5" vertical, 10'-3" broad jump, 6'-3¼" wingspan, and was a high school track star (2015 100-meter 6A State Championship winner with 34 college offers). However, he hasn't proven in training camp that he is the right guy for either kickoff or punt returns. To make the roster, he will need to show he can handle both return aspects; otherwise, other receivers will outplay him for the spot.
