Allen totaled a forgettable 10 receptions for 54 yards last season, but his 146 snaps on third downs led the Jaguars' backfield by a wide margin
STACKED’s take
Tuten's role unclear amid committee approach; Allen and Rodriguez limit third-down and goal-line upside.
Despite elite athleticism (9.24 RAS, 4.32 40-yard dash) and increased role with Travis Etienne now in New Orleans, Tuten faces significant headwinds: LeQuint Allen totaled 146 snaps on third downs last season and is still expected to serve in a similar role; Jaguars running backs ranked 22nd in combined targets (78) and 25th in routes run (365) last season; head coach Liam Coen brought in Chris Rodriguez as an early-down bruiser and goal-line back. Coen expects a committee approach this season, and Rodriguez could lead in goal-line touches. Without a significant pass-catching role or goal-line work, Tuten will need hyper-efficient play to justify his draft cost.
