Yahoo Fantasy Football on Josh Downs
From the article
That creates an opportunity for Downs, who has had stretches of strong production at times during his first three years in the league...That's exactly how he's being drafted this year as the WR48 in ADP, not baking in the opportunity that could materialize with Pittman gone.
STACKED’s take
Downs drafted as WR48 despite WR4 upside with Pittman gone and expanded role opportunity.
Downs is a dangerous playmaker at 5-foot-9, 171 pounds who has been limited as the Colts' third receiver but managed at least 50 yards and/or a touchdown in 50% of his games last season. With Michael Pittman Jr. and his 111 targets out of the picture, the Colts' passing attack will be built around Alec Pierce (rehabbing from ankle injury), Downs, tight end Tyler Warren, and veteran Keenan Allen at 34. The coaching staff has discussed Downs expanding his role to include more snaps on the perimeter. During Joe Flacco's seven starts in 2024 (replacing Anthony Richardson), Downs posted weekly finishes of WR8, WR25, WR16, WR34, WR21, WR75, and WR18 while averaging 7.1 receptions and 66.4 receiving yards. Through the first nine games of 2025 while Daniel Jones was healthy, Downs was a fantasy WR4. He's currently being drafted as WR48 in ADP, not baking in the opportunity that could materialize with Pittman gone, and is available outside the top 100 picks.
