Wiley's injury recovery and preseason catch position him for TE3 competition.

TE caught a pass in Week 1 preseason and had a terrific sideline catch after missing most of the 2025 season with injury; he has flashed in camp and is competing against Jake Briningstool for the third tight end spot. With his height and size, Wiley has a chance to become the Chiefs' third tight end and compete for a spot on the active roster, though neither he nor Briningstool has shown much prowess in run blocking.
