The Eagles running back was taken off the field in an ambulance after suffering a head injury on the opening kickoff of the preseason Week 2 game against the Patriots on August 22, 2026. Jackson dove at return man Lan Larison's knees and took a knee to the head in the process. The Eagles announced he has strength and movement in all extremities and was being taken to a local hospital for further evaluation.
