Lloyd, a 2024 third-round pick, has played just one game in the last two years due to a CVS-receipt level of lower-body injuries and a fluky case of appendicitis. In theory, the blazing USC product would be a perfect complement to Josh Jacobs, who absorbs almost all between-the-tackle carries in the Matt LaFleur offense. The Packers desperately need another body to take work off Jacobs, especially after backup Emanuel Wilson left for Seattle, and the organization will be committed to pushing Lloyd. However, a significant workload is no guarantee; pass-blocking reps matter and Green Bay has Chris Brooks already on the roster at that skill. Lloyd should be considered a valuable handcuff to Jacobs, but don't expect a whole lot more out of him right out of the gate.
