Isaac Nauta ran 16 routes in preseason Week 2 but had zero targets and zero receptions; he is now one of just three wide receivers in the entire preseason to run at least 25 routes and have zero receptions. Even with St. Laporte potentially missing time due to hip injury, Ian Hartitz has a hard time getting excited about Nauta as more than a touchdown-dependent wide receiver five type, given the Lions' crowded receiver room with Amon-Ra St. Brown, Jameson Williams, and Jir Gibbs.
