Boutte traded to Texans after Patriots added A.J. Brown and Romeo Doubs.

Traded from Patriots to Texans after back-to-back productive seasons as New England's primary outside receiver and one of Drake Maye's favorite targets. Career with Patriots: 87 receptions for 1,327 yards and 10 touchdowns in 38 games with a 15.3-yard average per catch over three years. Trade was driven by Patriots acquiring A.J. Brown and signing Romeo Doubs in free agency, both of whom surpassed Boutte's career track record and developed chemistry with Drake Maye faster. Boutte had requested a trade himself in spring; Patriots received safety Jaylen Reed and a 2028 seventh-round pick in return.
