Pickens is now, at worst, one of the premier WR2s in the NFL. You can make an argument that he proved he could be an effective No. 1 while holding down outlier boundary usage in 2025. He averaged 84.1 yards per game, while no one else pictured cleared 48 YPG.

Pickens is a premier WR2 who proved WR1 capability; 84.1 YPG on minimal slot usage is elite.

Pickens is now at worst one of the premier WR2s in the NFL. He proved he could be an effective No. 1 while holding down outlier boundary usage in 2025 and has become a much more well-rounded player than in his first two seasons with the Steelers. He's a joy to watch against man coverage. Remarkably, Pickens averaged 84.1 yards per game while taking only 7.6% of his snaps from the slot (the lowest rate from 2023-2025 for a WR with over 200 routes in a season), with no other WR pictured clearing 48 YPG.
