Jimmy Kempski: 'mostly caught a lot of short stuff near the line of scrimmage, and he has been the player most commonly in motion, pre-snap. It seems like Sean Mannion's vision for Lemon's role is to give Jalen Hurts some layups on some open schemed-up throws.' EJ Smith: 'Makai Lemon is going through a walkthrough portion of practice with the third-team offense right now. Just a guess, but I'd suspect he'll play a series or two Friday based off that.'

Positive signalRole

Eagles rookie WR role emerging as schemed-up short-game option for Jalen Hurts. Mostly catching short stuff near line of scrimmage; frequently in motion pre-snap. Expected to play series or two in preseason finale Friday. Role suggests layup throws and potential PPR value.
