Black got the first look on Thursday, looking to build off his impressive debut last week. While he didn't get too many chances, just four carries, Black made the most of them, averaging seven yards per attempt, closing his day with 28 rushing yards.

Black earned a spot on the initial 53-man roster with a strong preseason finale performance; on four carries, he averaged 7 yards per attempt for 28 rushing yards, including an impressive 14-yard run around the right edge that impressed Kyle Shanahan enough to be his final touch of the evening. Black and James are already locks to make the roster, and their shared backfield performance gives confidence to a backup running back spot that has had significant turnover in recent years.
