ArticleNew RotoWire NFL article: NFL Barometer: 2026 Fantasy Football Wide Receiver Do...Captured July 7, 2026
From the article
Sutton is coming off two excellent seasons with the Broncos in which he's averaged 78 catches, 1,049 yards and 7.5 touchdowns. Despite the success, I'm concerned his role might decrease. Weeks 7-11 last year, Denver tried to make Troy Franklin the lead wide receiver...Sutton averaged 10.1 PPR points. The Franklin experiment failed, and Sutton averaged 16.5 PPR points in the next five games. Not only will Sutton turn 31 about a month into the season, but with the acquisition of Jaylen Waddle, expect the Weeks 7-11 version of Sutton while Waddle takes the lead, making Sutton tough to draft despite a WR36 price.
STACKED’s take
Negative signalValue
Waddle acquisition signals Sutton will repeat Weeks 7-11 downgrade; WR36 ADP too aggressive.
Despite two excellent seasons averaging 78 catches, 1,049 yards, and 7.5 TDs, Sutton's role is at risk. In Weeks 7-11 last year, Denver experimented with Troy Franklin as the lead receiver, and Sutton averaged just 10.1 PPR points during that stretch. Though Franklin's experiment failed and Sutton rebounded to 16.5 PPR points in the next five games, the acquisition of Jaylen Waddle signals a return to the Weeks 7-11 downgrade scenario for a full season. At age 31, Sutton at WR36 ADP is tough to draft.
