Yahoo Sports NFL on Zach Horton

Horton waived again by Lions; practice squad return possible like last year.

The Lions waived tight end Zach Horton, an undrafted rookie who had already been waived once during training camp. He put together a handful of good fullback reps in the preseason finale on Saturday and will be subject to waivers; he could return to the practice squad as he did last year if he clears waivers. His waiving doesn't tell us much about the tight end competition.
