Pride Of Detroit on Zach Horton

TE Horton waived by Lions despite solid fullback reps in preseason.

The Lions waived tight end Zach Horton after he was previously waived once during training camp. Horton had a positive preseason finale, putting together a handful of good fullback reps on Saturday. His waiving does not provide much insight into the tight end competition. As an undrafted rookie, he is subject to waivers and could return to the practice squad if he clears, as he did last year after his initial cut.
