Waived by Broncos after preseason; practice squad odds aided by brother Devon on roster.

Waived by Denver Broncos after arriving as undrafted rookie free agent from Nebraska. Despite receiving serious preseason looks and making a few good plays, Key did not make the initial 53-man roster. His size, length, toughness, and contested-catch ability align with Head Coach Sean Payton's receiver archetype; he lined up primarily outside but also saw 35 percent of career snaps from slot, providing outside-inside flexibility that Payton values. Brother Devon Key on Broncos roster may help his chances to stick via practice squad.
