my question is can James Cook finish like a top three fantasy running back. Like of course like he can but I just think that his odds of doing that are lower than some of the other backs

Limited reception volume and target competition cap Cook's top-three upside

Jir Gibbs maintains a neutral-to-negative outlook on James Cook's ceiling, questioning his ability to finish as a top-three fantasy back. Despite a high-floor finish as the RB6 last year, his limited reception volume (1.9 per game) and increased target competition from DJ Moore and a healthy Dalton Kincaid, combined with a more Josh Allen-centric offensive approach, lower his odds of reaching an elite ceiling.
