I do not think 29-year-old Barkley is going to lose my league. I also have little faith he is going to win it at this juncture, even if he "splits the difference" between his HOF-worthy 2024 and cringeworthy 2025.

At 29 years old, Barkley is unlikely to win a league and has little upside to do so even if he splits the difference between his HOF-worthy 2024 and cringeworthy 2025. There are too many other higher-upside running backs available to justify using a first-round pick on a player who is probably post-peak.
