Rice's injury history, suspension risk, and diminished role make him a risky third-rounder.

The fundamental question is whether Rashee Rice is even good; he's been great in various small sample sizes but has spent much of the past two years either injured or rehabbing and is amongst the league's most well-established suspension risks. With the Chiefs finally remaking their backfield, Rice's 'extension of the running game' short-area targets may no longer be as important in Kansas City. If Rice stays healthy he will probably be a perfectly fine third-round pick, just not one the source was making.
