Downs's 9-pick fall from Allen signing is overblown; source buying at reduced price.

Downs fell 9 ADP spots, the biggest value loser this week not previously mentioned, after the Colts signed Keenan Allen. The source argues Allen didn't torpedo Ladd McConkey's fantasy stock by taking him off the field; McConkey's route rate marginally increased to 90 percent and his aDOT barely moved, meaning he was on the field more earning similar types of targets but at a lower per-route rate and much less efficiently. Allen certainly played some role in those changes, but the Chargers' season-long offensive spiral was likely the larger culprit. The source is coping and doesn't buy that Allen is a huge impediment to the Downs breakout case, planning to buy at a reduced price.
