But in the other 34 games of his career, Watson has never seen more than eight targets or more than six catches, has fallen short of double-digit fantasy points 29 times and has averaged 5.4 points per game. In the 30 games he has not caught a touchdown or a reception of 50+ yards, he's averaged 4.6 fantasy points per game.

Watson is a boom-or-bust field-stretcher who has never been a reliable fantasy asset. In 14 career games with a touchdown, he averaged 18.1 PPG with extremely high highs, but in 34 other games he never saw more than eight targets or six catches, fell short of double-digit fantasy points 29 times, and averaged 5.4 PPG. In 30 games without a touchdown or 50+ yard reception, he averaged 4.6 PPG. Across four seasons, Watson has one game with double-digit targets and zero games with eight or more catches—a stark contrast to former teammate Romeo Doubs (three such games), Russell Gage (two), K.J. Osborn (two), Devaughn Vele (two), and others. There's roughly a one-in-three chance he hits that one big play against the Vikings, but if he doesn't, expect a busted week. Minnesota allowed the fewest fantasy points to wideouts last year.
