Across 398 snaps where Downs, Tyler Warren, and Alec Pierce were on the field together last year, Downs paced the trio with a 27% target share and was the only one targeted on over 20% of his routes. Being on the field was his only limitation, which is no longer an issue even with Keenan Allen's arrival. Alec Pierce is expected to have limited volume after missing most of the summer and facing the Ravens' tough zone coverages.
