Yahoo Sports NFL on Carnell Tate
From the article
Unfortunately, there's a realness to be a 21-year-old early-declare in Week 1, especially in this offense. The Titans' quick-hitting offense isn't set up for volume to outside receivers.
STACKED’s take
Tate's production limited by Titans' quick-hitting scheme and Cam Ward's development uncertainty.
Tate is going to be an awesome player with standout ball skills and more polished route running than most; he's a tier down from elite WR prospect as a projectable top receiver. However, there's realness to being a 21-year-old early-declare in Week 1, especially in this offense. Titans' quick-hitting offense isn't set up for volume to outside receivers; Tate wasn't a manufactured touch player in college, so production will be real but limited. Production depends on Cam Ward improving behind what could be a bottom-three offensive line. Titans project for 20.0 points (26th) in one of their easiest matchups; Tate faces 2025 third-round CB1 AZ Thomas and veteran CB2 Brandon Stephens (neither imposing).
