Ron Stewart drafted DeAndre Swift in his home league as part of a running back-heavy late-round strategy (alongside Bejon and Jeremiah Love), resulting in a running back in the flex spot, which Stewart stated is not his preferred team-building approach. Stewart took Swift 'out of spite' after being sniped on T. Higgins, though Swift was also his highest-ranked player available at that point in half-PPR. Later, Stewart considered trading Swift for a wide receiver in the tier of T. Higgins, Tedo McMillan, or similar, but determined that none of these receivers project for better points than Swift in the flex spot, making the trade unjustifiable from a fantasy scoring perspective. Stewart expressed regret about not waiting on receivers and the overall team construction.
