Fields had limited impact as a pass catcher (4 targets, 2 receptions, 25 yards) but made a significant contribution as a blocker in Greg Roman's run game. The Giants used Fields in condensed sets and treated him as an extra tight end on several plays, including a curious 20-personnel set on their second offensive play. Fields successfully released to the second level to pick up linebacker Dee Winters and was also used as a downfield obstacle to create space for teammates in various passing concepts.
