Yahoo Fantasy Football on Kenneth Walker III

Walker's arrival forced Chiefs to overhaul offensive scheme toward run-heavy, under-center attack.

Walker immediately altered the Chiefs' offensive identity and scheme. The team jumped from 30th in under-center rate (2025) to 17th in Week 1, shifted from zone-run to power/gap schemes, and increased motion rate to 14th and play-action rate to 17th. Walker was the most productive back the Chiefs have had out of under-center runs in years, recording 127 rushing yards from under center in his first game—more than any Chiefs RB in the last decade. He also drew six targets while running a route on 46% of Mahomes' dropbacks, making him a factor in the passing game.
