Stafford faces the Giants in Week 2 with an inside-scoop disadvantage: Giants wide receivers coach Chad Hall is Stafford's brother-in-law, married to his sister Kelly. Hall played four seasons as an NFL receiver and is in his second season as a Giants assistant, having aided in Jaxson Dart's development last year. The Giants pursued a trade for Stafford last offseason when his contract with the Rams was in flux and were willing to offer a lucrative extension, but Stafford signed a one-year, $55 million extension with Los Angeles instead.
