Matthew Stafford was abysmal in Week 1. I'm sorry, but there's no other way to state it. Stafford was erratic, to put it kindly, as he was misfiring left and right. He finished the week as QB32 in fantasy. I need to see Stafford bounce back before I'm willing to plug him back into a fantasy lineup.

Stafford's disastrous Week 1 and tough Giants matchup warrant benching until bounce-back shown.

Stafford was 'abysmal' in Week 1, finishing as QB32 in fantasy. Among 30 qualifying passers, he ranked tenth-fewest in yards per attempt, fifth-lowest in passing success rate, fifth-lowest in highly accurate throw rate, and sixth-lowest in catchable target rate. The source notes he faced the eighth-highest pressure rate in Week 1 but states 'that's no excuse.' Stafford has zero rushing equity to save his fantasy day if he struggles as a passer again. Week 2 matchup against the Giants' strong defense (third-fewest yards per attempt allowed, ninth-lowest passer rating, 17th in passing success rate, 18th in pressure rate) offers little relief. The source states: 'I need to see Stafford bounce back before I'm willing to plug him back into a fantasy lineup.'
