I wouldn't say Mahomes completely looked like his old self, but he did look healthy—and that was the most important thing Kansas City needed to see. Mahomes demonstrated that his knee is fine, he can still scramble and he remains capable of making plays outside the pocket.

Mahomes' knee is healthy; early rust should clear as he regains form.

Patrick Mahomes returned from a torn ACL in Week 1 and demonstrated that his knee is fine; he can still scramble and remains capable of making plays outside the pocket. While he showed some early rust (completing only 2 of his first 12 attempts), he settled down and completed 13 of his final 15 attempts with two touchdown passes. Arrowhead Pride expects him to continue improving as he regains his form after missing normal offseason routine and preseason participation.
