McMillan rode a consistent rookie season to OROY honors. He hit the ground running as the Panthers' very best offensive player, ultimately averaging as the WR24 on WR23 usage. Rookies with those type of numbers are often future fantasy WR1s, and McMillan has a lot of volume-based traits for someone who is also 6'5"/212. On tape, McMillan does an outstanding job of working against the CB's leverage. He can dance with them against off coverage, and he can force CB's to work further into their leverage before he breaks away from it. McMillan simply has veteran feel. In tight coverage, McMillan also has a great frame and hands to win contested. The Panthers were pretty reliant on him winning on 3rd/4th down situations, and many of those reps required a well-timed push off to create the last second separation. They'd occasionally place him into the slot where they could run rub routes, back shoulder fades, or slant routes, all with great success (insert your Borat impression). His speed won't amaze, but McMillan is fast enough. He had a dig route vs. the Cardinals that showed his long strides after the catch, and there were times when he'd be so open down the field that Bryce Young would lolly it up to him for chunk gain. In general, McMillan has a similar game to Drake London, Mike Evans, and even Jaxon Smith-Njigba, and we should fully expect him to blossom into one of the top-15 best players at this position. I'm buying him at WR18, and there are indications from the Panthers' offseason moves that they might add more spread to their offense rather than being mega balanced....
