Bo Nix fantasy football insight from Hayden Winks - PPR Rankings

Bo NixQB

Bo Nix (QB, DEN) is #97 overall in Hayden Winks' 2026 Half-PPR rankings vs. Underdog ADP 107 with a 299.7-point projection. Verdict: Nix is priced as QB14 with Waddle after being QB9 back to back years. There is not a great explanation for Bo Nix being the QB14 in ADP after he was the QB9 as a rookie, QB9 as a sophomore, and then had Jaylen Waddle join him this offseason. The reasons for this are that QB8-QB15 is very close, and that Nix's rushing numbers could be impacted by his broken ankle surgery and he was the QB13 in both yards and touchdowns on the ground over the past two years. But isn't there far more passing production upside to counter that?

There is not a great explanation for Bo Nix being the QB14 in ADP after he was the QB9 as a rookie, QB9 as a sophomore, and then had Jaylen Waddle join him this offseason. If we take some of the Troy Franklin (6.3 yards per target), RJ Harvey (6.1), and Lil' Jordan Humphries (6.2) targets and place them onto Waddle's career 9.3 YPT, then we can easily see career-best efficiency for Nix. Remember, Nix has been QB29 in dropback success rate so far and has still been fantasy relevant. On tape, Nix has needed his hand held by the scheme to a degree and has shot himself in the foot with his decision making at times, but those are things that improve slightly year over year. He's also making plays himself by being a solid scrambler, thrower on the run, and accurate passer on downfield shots. There's definitely enough for an all-time offensive coach like Sean Payton to create a very fun offense over time. If Nix is truly fully healthy in training camp, he's a redraft punt QB target while loading up on RBs and WRs early on. In terms of pre-season fantasy projections, there's not that much of a difference between him and Caleb Williams. Their prices are dramatically d...
