Downs was a key target for Jones throughout the game, converting multiple first downs on slant routes and out routes. He caught an 11-yard slant on third-and-4 from the red zone on the opening drive, a creative out route to march into Chiefs territory in the second half, a slant on third-and-6 to convert a first down from the Kansas City 30-yard line, and a hitch to convert a first down following the two-minute warning in the final drive.
