In 14 games with Patrick Mahomes in 2025, Kelce was the TE6 in full PPR, TE5 in receptions, and TE3 in receiving yards on a per-game basis. He was also 2nd in success rate on his targets (68%), even if he is no longer creating real magic after the catch. The tape doesn't match those numbers (as most of his explosives were on broken coverages), but those numbers did just happen for what it's worth. The hard part is the changing nature of the offense. Mahomes is coming back from a torn ACL, while old OC Eric Bieniemy is back calling shots instead of Matt Nagy, and while star RB Kenneth Walker is adding an explosive option in the backfield for the first time in a decade. At the same time, Rashee Rice and Xavier Worthy provide as many questions as explosive upside. If either or both break out to their potential, it'll come at the expense of Kelce's underneath looks. For example since 2024, Kelce is averaging 5.6 receptions on 23% targets without Rice but 4.3 receptions on 19% targets with him. Worthy was also playing through injuries all last year, and we should expect him to be more involved, especially on crossers where Kelce is targeted himself. In general, Kelce's decline is firmly here and the overall ceiling simply doesn't exist anymore with the changes of the offense. There's not really a big difference between him, Jake Ferguson, Dallas Goedert, Brenton Strange, and Hunter Henry. He's a low-priority TE1/2 in fantasy as a 36-year-old married man.
