Jalen Nailor fantasy football insight from Hayden Winks - PPR Rankings

Nailor was a low-target WR in an all-around role behind Justin Jefferson and Jordan Addison, though his best work came in the slot to me. He plays with some wiggle and has enough speed to occasionally win down the field when tasked with that. The Raiders are signing him to be a lot more than a No. 3 WR. In fact, he's arguably their top receiver if we brush aside whatever we're calling Brock Bowers. His contract (3 years, $35M with $18M guaranteed) is that of a starter, and his primary competition for snaps is Tre Tucker (41 YPG), Jack Bech (20), and Dont'e Thornton (12). That's as low of a bar for snaps as it gets. For what it's worth (next to nothing as you'll see), Nailor at least averaged more yards per target (8.8), most EPA per target (+0.36), and highest success rate (55%) over the past two years on the Vikings. Hard to do next to Jettas! Nailor's best work was when he was stacked up, put in motion, and given room to run, where playing through press coverage is hidden. He made a few nice sideline grabs and can create some separation coming out of the break, particularly on these out routes. Those are the throws Fernando Mendoza put on the money over and over and over again. Ditto for Kirk Cousins at this point in his career. The Raiders will do all of the modern things an NFL offense needs with HC Klint Kubiak, but the OL is still a work in progress and the scheme will be balanced in general. A full PPR scam in garbage time could give him WR4 appeal in deeper leagues if he can hold off Tucker and Bech. Anything beyond that is asking a lot.
