Jurgens did not play well overall, but the offense did him no favors. The Eagles moved him to left guard, a position he had barely practiced, and immediately asked him to deal with Jeffery Simmons, an elite defensive tackle. Nick Sirianni acknowledged after the game that Jurgens had not taken much work at left guard, while Jordan Mailata said he had received one walkthrough there during the summer. Jurgens deserves credit for taking on the challenge, but he struggled.
