I was not nearly as bearish as it appears all of you guys were on the Christian McCaffrey usage yesterday. He had eight targets in that game... if you took away every Christian McCaffrey carry that didn't result in a touchdown, 301 carries vanishing into thin air, he still would have scored 17.4 points per game in 2025.

The source concluded the usage was not discouraging and the 49ers offense looked great overall. Later, the source strongly defended McCaffrey against panic trades, noting that McCaffrey ended the day with 16 expected fantasy points, which would have ranked as running back seven per game last year; the source is fully out on trading away McCaffrey.
