Although Christian McCaffrey scored twice in Week 2, he received just three more carries than Black. After two weeks, it has become clear that Black is going to have a role in Kyle Shanahan's offense. But it's hard to envision him getting high-value touches, as McCaffrey is so effective in the passing game and near the goal line.

Black received just three fewer carries than Christian McCaffrey in Week 2 and averaged 3.6 yards per carry compared to McCaffrey's 2.3 yards. However, McCaffrey was heavily used in the passing game while Black was a non-factor there. After two weeks, Black has a clear role in Kyle Shanahan's offense, but it's hard to envision him getting high-value touches; he's limited to McCaffrey insurance until injuries or bye weeks create desperation.
