Through two weeks of the 2026 season, Herbert has laid two massive eggs: two touchdowns to three interceptions, completing just 59 percent of his passes, and ranking 27th in EPA per play despite the Chargers being gifted two games against teams they were expected to beat. In Week 1, he completed just over 60 percent for one touchdown and one interception against Arizona (9.5-point favorites); in Week 2 against Vegas, the offense had eight drives of six plays or fewer, all ending in punts or turnovers.
