the days of him being like a target hog receiver, I think are over because Kenneth Walker is here and has fundamentally changed the way this offense functions.

Rashee Rice's role has shifted and his target-hog days are likely over

Matt Harmon believes Rashee Rice's role has fundamentally changed due to the arrival of Kenneth Walker, shifting Rice from a primary slot role to playing 62% of snaps outside. Rice's target share on routes has dropped to 11%, and he is no longer the focal point for short-area targets. Harmon notes Rice is currently struggling to separate against man and zone coverage, potentially exacerbated by his recovery from a knee injury.
