Underwhelming Week 2 performance despite 247 yards and a touchdown

Ian Hartitz notes that Geno Smith's Week 2 performance was underwhelming, characterized by off-target throws and floaters that were fortunate not to result in interceptions, though he acknowledges it was a step up in competition. Despite not looking as clean as in Week 1, he recorded 247 yards and a touchdown.
