Field Gulls on Jaxon Smith-Njigba
From the article
Reigning Offensive Player of the Year Jaxon Smith-Njigba showed up in a major way for the Seahawks, posting 10 catches for 128 yards and two touchdowns in a losing effort. Smith-Njigba became the fourth player in the Super Bowl era with six touchdowns across the first three games of a season, after Calvin Johnson (2011), Marvin Harrison (1999), and Daryl Turner (1985). Narrowing that scope to include thresholds of 25+ catches and 400+ yards, Smith-Njigba is the second player after just Harrison in '99 to hit those marks. According to ESPN Insights, on Sunday he joined Jerry Rice as the only players in history to post 120 yards and a touchdown in each of his team's first three games. With another 100-yard, touchdown day next Sunday, he will join Randy Moss as the only players to start the season with four straight games with 100 yards and a touchdown.
