STACKED’s take

Negative signalProjection

Smith's 321 yards and 3 TDs negated by late-game fumble in scoring territory.

Smith posted strong passing stats (31/37, 83.8%, 321 yards, 3 TDs, 0 INTs) against Detroit—his first 300-yard game since his Raiders debut last season—but a critical fumble in scoring territory with four minutes left in the fourth quarter ended the Jets' comeback hopes in a 31-24 loss. The five sacks and turnover in a close game underscore volatility risk despite efficient passing performance.
